Every spring Northwest Boulevard publishes a journal filled with the creative writings of Eastern’s undergraduates and alumni: Poetry, Fiction, and nonfiction (though we’re not afraid to publish cross-genre or non-genre pieces (if that’s possible)).

Northwest Boulevard is nearing it’s 16th year. It was started in 1993, and is available in the lounge  room on the second floor of the PUB, though we are running out of copies of the 2008 issue because it was very popular with the literary types.

Our office is located in the PUB, room 219. Office hours for Fall quarter 2009 will be posted at the beginning of October.

Meetings are held n Patterson 250 (The English Department lounge, also known as the fishbowl).  Times will be posted in the Fall.  If you would like to help design the journal and edit submissions, please come; everyone is welcome to join the club. NW Blvd. also organizes free public readings called Blue Note, at the Empyrean coffee house.  If you’ve some chops and would like to share them to a loving audience, contact us.

This year’s journal is going to be a good one. We accept submissions year round, so check out our guideline sheet, or e-mail us with questions, suggestions, anecdotes, prose, poetry, or jokes. Take care. And check back for updates as scheduling is subject to change.
